Welcome.
I am a psychotherapist with over thirty years of experience treating children, adults, and older adults. My clinical work focuses on mood disorders, aging, grief, relationships, life transitions, sexual and gender identity, stress, and parenting. I hold a B.A. in Religion from Princeton University, where I graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. I continued my studies at the University of Chicago, where I obtained two master’s degrees: one in Religion and another in Social Work.
When my son, Oliver, died tragically and unexpectedly at the age of nineteen, my internal landscape became unrecognizable. How would I learn a new language in this foreign country of grief? The experience of profound, compounded loss (my mother died two years later) has dramatically reshaped my therapeutic and humanistic lens, guiding me to hold space for others with greater compassion, presence, and understanding.
Both inside and outside the therapy office, I strive to create safe, inclusive spaces where the bereaved can explore and express their grief, bringing what is often hidden into the light.
The Landscape of After is my first book.
